Mr. Cartmill's 8th grade classes recently had a mock trial on Friday the 13th. The trial was based off the book "The Tell- Tale Heart" by Edgar Allen Poe. This book is about a man's quest to kill someone and the result of it. The trial was the aftermath everything, and it determined whether or not the man was guilty of murder. The mock trial was consisted of two sides: the defense and prosecution. In the end, the prosecution side won the trial.

Another one of Cope's spirit day had successfully made it through. In this spirit day, students were given the choice to dress up as a mathlete or an athlete. Many students had participated in this spirit day by dressing up as a nerd by wearing glasses and suspenders, or by dressing up as an athlete by wearing a sports jersey or an uniform they use for their sports. Games were held during both lunches with candy being given out to those who dressed...
