Veterans Day

Veterans Day

Sarah M., Staff Writer

Did you know that Veterans Day is next Wednesday, November 11th? We will not have school that day. Veterans Day is a day used to honor people who have served in wars and are still alive today. The first Veterans Day was November 11th 1947. There are several ways people honor Veterans Day, including hanging a flag in their yard, attending events that happen on Veterans Day, talking to a Veteran about their time while serving, and so much more. There are places that are for Veterans to go to just hang out and be around other Veterans. Two of these places are the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion. These places are for Veterans so that they have a place to go to have food and be around other people who have served. Overall, people help out their whole community.

So on Wednesday, November 11th, take some time to honor those who have served for us.
