This month, Redlands Unified and STEM For All Foundation invite you to participate in the Clean Air Day: Do Your Bit Challenge – with two challenges you can participate in: the poster challenge and the app challenge. Kids from grades K-12 can participate for a chance at winning a drone! There will be one winner/winning group from each challenge and you can participate in teams of no more than 3 students.
The poster challenge is open to all grade levels, and you can work in groups of up to 3 kids or independently. Make a poster of how you can DO YOUR BIT to help clean California’s air. Your poster will be judged on originality, creativity, and factual accuracy. The app challenge is for Middle and High School students (6-12) and, again, you can work alone or in a group of no more than 3 students. You have to create an app showing how you can DO YOUR BIT to help clean California’s air. Like for the poster challenge, your app will be judged on originality, creativity, and factual accuracy.
As for prizes, there will be one winning group or student per challenge; so two winners. Each first place winner will win a drone; while the top five from each category will win a RUSD shirt and face mask. For a chance at this AMAZING prize, compete in one of these categories (poster or app) and submit with the links below. The posters/apps are due by October 2nd, and the online awards ceremony will be on October 9th.
