How to Stop the Spread

As we all know, COVID-19 changed all of our lives in March of this year. For several weeks, we were all encouraged to stay home, and now we are wearing masks when going to stores and doing Distance Learning for schools. I think we all can agree that we want to stop the spread of the coronavirus.

There are many things we can do to slow the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19) and protect your friends and loved ones by taking extra precautions during these difficult times. First, you can take at home constantly washing your hands for at least sixty seconds to wash away any germs that have collected on your hands.

Additionally, you should stand at least 6 feet apart from anyone to make them feel safe and comfortable. When going to your local supermarket, be sure to wear a mask or a face covering to protect yourself and others. Avoid touching your face without washing your hands first.

Although coronavirus is very difficult to spread through objects, feel free to wear gloves to a store or public building to avoid cross-contamination. Be sure to remove gloves carefully and always apply hand sanitizer that is at least 60% alcohol.

Remember, just because you are healthy and young certainly does not mean you should take slowing the spread of COVID-19 less seriously. You should always be mindful of maintaining others’ health whether or not you have a health condition. We can only fight this virus if we do it together.
