Most of you have probably heard that yesterday, students all over the country walked out of class for 17 minutes at 10:00. This was so that a moment of silence could be held in remembrance of the victims of the horrendous shootings of the past decade. This action was not necessarily supposed to be a protest, just a moment to remember shooting victims. Our school was one of thousands country-wide that participated. Cope students left their classes during fifth period and headed to stand around the M.P.R. We were monitored by Mrs. Bruich and Mr. Oliver, as well as a few teachers including Mrs. Devi, Mr. Boursaw, and Mrs. Faulkner. It was truly inspiring to have our school be part of this huge movement. We hope Cope Eagles will continue to speak their minds in the future.
