We can all relate to the fact that 2020 was a rough year. We’ve been either focusing on other things or began to slack off so much that we haven’t paid attention to ourselves. This is something that we’ve ALL been struggling with, and we haven’t even realized it. It’s important to pay attention to OURSELVES rather than pleasing others all the time. Here’s one important word you need to know. Self-love.

Although writing may not be for everyone, having a daily journal to write in will be useful. In it, you could write your thoughts, feelings, how your day went, and even write about negative things that happened. Instead of keeping things bottled up inside, write it all out. Trust me, this really works because I myself have done it. Once you let it all out in your journal, you’ll feel much better.
Each and every day, you need to learn to stop judging yourself. We may not realize it, but every person is always putting themselves down once in a while, comparing themselves to another, or letting that little voice in their head get ahold of them. Don’t do that. Each and every time you hurt yourself mentally, you become weak as a person. You DO NOT want that to happen. Instead, encourage yourself every day. Don’t look down on yourself. If you have to, watch videos on self-love! It’s not easy to learn how to love yourself right away, but I know for a fact that it’s not impossible. Just know that you should always be yourself because there will always be one you in this world.
Self-love also means doing things that will benefit us in the future. For instance, being productive. Whenever you do something productive, you feel good and proud of yourself. For example, set goals for yourself. If you like writing, write a book! If you love playing instruments, create a song! Or if you want to influence others to become aware of a problem, make a difference in the world! Whether your goal is big or small, accomplishing it will always make you feel proud.
Self-love doesn’t just mean taking care of yourself mentally. You should also take care of your physical appearance. For instance, taking care of your skin, taking baths, putting on deodorant, and much more. Remember, you will always be beautiful on both the inside and outside. When you take care of yourself, you’ll always feel refreshed.
