Recipes from Different Fandoms

The newest Keepers of the Lost Cities book –Unlocked– included special recipes from the elvin world! But Keepers isn’t the only book series with recipes to try out. Here are some delectable recipes from popular fandoms!

  • Lushberry Juice (from Keeper of the Lost Cities): Mallowmelt was going to be on this list, but the recipe was too lengthy; if you’d like to make mallowmelt instead, check out Shannon Messenger’s website! The lushberry recipe is short and easy, a great start for anyone who doesn’t feel like spending a lot of time in the kitchen. All you’ll need is 2 cups of strawberry lemonade, 1 cup of pomegranate juice, 1 cup of sparkling water, and ice. To make, simply combine all ingredients!
  • Blue Chocolate Chip Cookies (based on the Percy Jackson series): The Percy Jackson fandom is huge, which is understandable, considering the series is so lovable and long. To make these blue cookies, you will need a box of velvet cake mix (you can probably find this at Walmart or Vons) ⅔ cup of shortening, 2 eggs, and fistfuls of chocolate chips! Mix indigents, roll dough into balls and bake at 350 degrees for about 8 minutes. Then, enjoy!
  • Butterbeer (from Harry Potter): Probably the most delicious drink ever conceived in the wizarding world! To make this delicious drink, you will need 1 litre of cream soda, 2-3 tablespoons of butter, 2-3 tablespoons of brown sugar, a cup of heavy whipping cream, and 4-5 Werther’s Originals candy. First, boil the soda. Then combine the sugar and butter (until the sugar is dissolved), then combine with the boiled soda. Add the cream and stir in the candy. Make sure the candy melts before serving the drink while hot.
  • Lembas (from Lord of the Rings): Lembas is an elvin food from the widely popular series Lord of the Rings. To make it, you will need 6 tablespoons butter or margarine, slightly softened, 2 cups self-rising flour, 1 tablespoon granulated sugar, ½ cup raisins (optional) 1 egg, well beaten, ½ cup milk, 4 tablespoons heavy cream, and mallorn leaves. Begin by preheating the oven to 400 degrees, then combine margarine with the flour using either a pastry blender or a fork. Do this part quickly, so that the butter doesn’t melt, until it looks like cornmeal. Add in the sugar, and raisins, if you chose to. Beat egg and milk together then add it into the flour mixture. Knead the dough a few times before rolling it out to the desired thickness (about ¾ inch) then cut with a cookie cutter. Top the cookies with the egg mix, then bake for 12 -13 minutes.

These are just a few recipes from a few popular fandoms. But, there are plenty more recipes, and plenty more fandoms to offer them!
