The Upcoming November Elections!

The Upcoming November Elections!

Edric W., Staff Writer

It’s October 2020, which means elections are close! The current president’s term is drawing to a close, and the elections will start in November. The two candidates running are Donald Trump with Mike Pence as his vice president, and Joe Biden with Kamala Harris as his vice president. Trump and Pence represent the Republican Party, while Biden and Harris represent the Democratic Party. There has been lots of tension between these two parties for a very long time, so we can all expect a very heated election. In the presidential debate alone, both candidates argued so intensely that they both lost their composure. Biden told Trump to, “Shut up, man,” while Trump interrupted Biden a total of 73 times.

From this recent debate alone, we can tell that the election speeches and debates will be much more intense. Both presidential candidates will most likely make good arguments to try and get more votes. The ballot itself is on Tuesday, November 3rd (about a month’s time from now). Registered citizens over the age of 18 can vote by mail and send ballots to the candidates or vote managers. There is also a predicted online vote, but there are no current in-person voting centers decided. Make sure that, if possible, your parents vote for their candidate of choice. In this election, both presidents will be neck-and-neck, so every vote counts.
