Recently, many fans have been devastated by the death of Chadwick Boseman, an amazing actor who died of complications related to colon cancer. Fans were worried about him after he appeared to lose weight drastically in a video he uploaded to Instagram. Boseman was diagnosed with stage three colon cancer in 2016, which eventually developed to stage five before 2020. Boseman had never spoken publicly about his cancer diagnosis. During treatment, he continued with his acting career and managed to star in over eight films including Marshall, Black Panther, Infinity War, Avengers Endgame, and more. Very few fans and people in general knew he had colon cancer. Even studio executives who one would think would have been aware given the long term contracts they had with Boseman, such as Disney and Marvel, had no information about Boseman’s condition. Boseman died at his home on August 28, 2020, with his wife and family by his side. On that day, many fans on Instagram shared a tribute to him by posting #wakandaforever. His co-workers tweeted very heartfelt and meaningful messages to him and his family. Chadwick Boseman is a role model for many people today, for he pursued his dreams while battling a very difficult disease.
