Summer Ends, Autumn Begins

As summer comes to an end, autumn is about to fall upon us. However, it doesn’t seem like that. Over the weekend, Redlands had temperatures as high as 115 degrees Fahrenheit (that’s about 46 degrees Celsius)!

This summer, the sweltering heat in Southern California was less noticeable. We were stuck inside with our air conditioners. Quarantine, however, became the most common topic of all meme formats, and people could relate to anyone who mentioned binging Netflix. Though we may not realize it, it soon will become time for autumn to arrive in its full glory, for pumpkins are slowly starting to appear around stores like Starbucks and Trader Joe’s.

Yet the fall is about to roll its way into the weather, cooling temperatures. No need for tank tops and flip-flops anymore. It’s time for autumn attire! One type of autumn attire is your Halloween costume. You can start thinking about what you’re wearing for virtual Halloween this year. Also, I don’t know about you, but my mouth is starting to water just thinking about the Thanksgiving feast in store. Autumn is a great season, so remember to stay safe during flu season so you can enjoy it. Be prepared to have some great virtual fun this fall!

In two weeks, everyone will be celebrating the arrival of the moderate season of autumn. Though things seem almost surreal as we wait for things to get better, fall will bring a new and much-needed liberation from worry. In other words, we’ll have a bit of autumn fun after our quarantine summer.
