Boris Johnson Coronavirus Speech

Boris Johnson, the prime minister of England, recently released a speech discussing the current situation amidst the coronavirus and thanking England’s population. Boris Johnson had just been hospitalized due to COVID-19 and made the speech after he was released from the hospital. He began by thanking everyone in the UK for continuing social distancing. He praised the NHS, the countries’ main healthcare service. He praised the workers like nurses, doctors, and pharmacists that come to work every day and “kept putting themselves into harm’s way.” He also says near the end of the speech by saying that the NHS is the “beating heart of this country.” Ending, he says, “So thank you from me, from all of the NHS. Let’s remember to follow the rules on social distancing… Thank you and happy Easter.”
