CJSF Garden Work
February 26, 2020
On Saturday the 22nd, students came to the school at 8:30 to clear weeds from the Cope garden. These students, most of them enrolled in CJSF, came to help Mrs. Stark clear out the garden. The Cope garden has been overrun with weeds; it’s difficult to identify the weeds from the plants. So clearing the garden was not an easy task. Not only were they trying to rid the old garden of weeds, but the volunteers had to be careful to not puncture irrigation lines. By the end of the day, mulch was laid out on the torn dirt, weeds were laying limply in compost piles, and new room had been made for herbs and vegetables.
