Meatless Beaf?

Nahiara M., Staff Writer

Just recently, scientists believe they have achieved a “wonder meat”. They have just invented meatless meat, meaning their meat is all plant-based. Scientists are calling it “The Beyond Burger”. They believe this can help with problems caused by regular meat. They are saying that consuming regular meat can lead up to an increased risk of cardiovascular disease and colorectal cancer. They just don’t want humans to be eating drugged meat that can lead to health issues. So in a sense, they believe this is a healthier option but does have some non-healthier products and foods in them. Such as how some meatless beef have heavily engineered products in them and some have even more sodium than regular beef. Not only that but the CEO of Wholes Food is warning people that these burgers are highly processed. The beyond burger has 1,240 milligrams of sodium which is 260 more than regular burgers. Overall, it all depends on the brand of the meatless burgers to assume whether or not they are healthy.
