Here are 10 weird facts that you may think are lies:

  1. Butterflies taste with their feet- this is how they tell which plant their caterpillars would eat, and where they should lay their eggs.
  2. Elephants can’t jump- this is because they don’t have to. Other animals use jumping as a way to escape from predators, but elephants can use their size as a way to ward off predators.
  3. Bananas are berries- bananas- botanically- develop in the same way as common berries do.
  4. Lakes can explode- due to high pressure being removed, gases from the bottom of the lakes begin to bubble.
  5. You can fill two bathtubs with the saliva you produce in a year.
  6. 12 percent of people dream in black and white- each color symbolizes something different. White can symbolize potential and purity, whereas black may show mystery or grief. Also, since they are opposites, you may be thinking of both sides of a disagreement.
  7. In your dreams, you only see faces of people you’ve seen before- because we interact with so many people every days, and see so many faces, our brain has an endless option of faces “to use” in your dreams.
