On Thursday, November 7th, the Cope Run Club went to Prospect Park for a race. They ran against other schools in the RUSD district. Each of the races is separated by grade and gender. The top ten racers were each given a medal and there was a team award as well.

For the 8th grade girls, the top ten racers were Elizabeth Garcia from Clement, Lena Fischer from Moore, Jade Williams from Beattie, Hannah Kelly from Clement, Ariana Herrera from Clement, Lizzy Northcott from Beattie, Melanie Perez from Clement, Cara Connelly from Cope, Amira Ambrosia from Soar, and Moira Connelly from Cope. The team award went to Clement with 15 points.

For 8th grade boys, the top ten racers were Sean Walker from Moore, Matthew Vasquez from Clement, Richard Carlson from Clement, Dilan Dakuri from Cope, Nathan Wilburn from Beattie, Jordan Griego from Clement, Elijah Khoobbagha from Beattie, Eduardo Eusquino Jr., Tyler Jarvis from Clement, and Joseph Christopher from Cope. The team award went to Clement with 25 points.

For the 7th grade girls, the top ten racers were Katie Hornung from Moore, Juliana Legaspi from Clement, Aubrie Magana from Moore, Gabriela Vasquez from Clement, Hailey Collinsworth from Beattie, Kamryn Caldwell from Beattie, Evelyn Ingram from Cope, Aubrey Hernandez from Cope, Ingrid Garcia from Cope, and Sophia Valentino from Moore. The team award went to Cope with 47 points.

For the 7th grade boys, the top ten racers were Frank Rodriguez from Clement, Diego Caldera from Beattie, Franky Morales from Clement, Kallen Gragg from Cope, Jayson Lopez from Clement, Julius Solorio-Coyle from Valley Prep, Eric Moreno from Clement, Joshua Ponce De Leon from CLement, Pasha Raaoufi from Valley Prep, and Phillip Ortiz from Moore. The team award went to Clement with 18 points.

For the 6th grade girls the top ten racers were Alyssa Creekmore from Beattie, Zoe Suarez from Clement, Emily Gill from Beattie, Kristen Miller from Clement, Katelyn Guerrero  from Clement, London Haack from Moore, Jinan Abdo from Beattie, Leila Toki from Clement, Alegra Caldera from Beattie, and Kaylani Kim from Clement. The team award went to Clement with 27 points.

Finally, For the 6th grade boys the top ten racers were Ahris Mayorga from Soar, Joshua Garcia from Clement, Eli Martinez-Spencer from Moore, Gavin Serrano from Beattie, Aiden Pedroza from Moore, Isaac Vitela from Clement, Michael Carballo from Clement, Kai’Nalu Johnston  from Clement, Devon Ogaz from Beattie, and Dominic Rodes from Beattie. The team award went to Clement with 43 points.
