Everyone gets that heavy feeling that makes you itch to just do something; in other words, boredom. In the moment, it seems there is no cure, nothing to get this burden far, far away. However, there is a solution. A few of them, actually. When you’re bored, here are a few ideas to not be:

  1. Pamper Yourself: You need looking after, too, and you might not always get the opportunity to do so. Give yourself some credit and take advantage of the extra time.
  2. Do Something Artsy: We all should have a little creativity in our lives, whether it’s in the form of writing, drawing, or something else. There are various prompts online to give yourself a bit of a push as well.
  3. Take a Nap: This one is self-explanatory. Sleep is something we should do in abundance, but we don’t really take it into consideration. Play some calming music and get some shut-eye.
  4. Organize: When you’re rushing everyday (because life), we tend to put things in places that really shouldn’t go there, and we tell ourselves, “I’ll put it back later.” You know you’re not going to put it back, so go ahead and do that.
  5. Socialize: Okay, we’re mostly introverts here, but break the antisocial attitude for a second. Text or call a friend you haven’t talked to in a while, or just talk to a friend you see all the time. The idea is to have conversation with other human persons.

That’s it. Those are the five things you can do when you’re bored. Hopefully, they keep the boredom away for a while, but feel free to rinse and repeat as many times as needed.
