Recently, 6th grader Ellie Zhang competed in a chess tournament in Tijuana, Mexico. Ellie represented the United states in 9 competitive rounds of international chess. She competed against top chess players from Canada, Mexico, and the United States. Ellie won a silver medal in the 12 year old girls section.
