On Tuesday, February 28, 2016, most eighth grade girls were invited to the University of Redlands. At the university, many successful woman showed us girls how we can take a career path in any STEM fields. STEM stands for: Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math. They introduced some popular fields like forensics and “CSI”, building biosensors, physical therapy, veterinary medicine, and so on. All of these were subjects they focused on. These women also inspired us to be reliant on independence.

At the end, a woman by the name of Amber, shared her hard times and how she got through it. She shared how somebody constantly put her down, and how she got out of that terrible relationship of five years. Amber definitely helped inspire and move we young girls to not be dependent on men.
