Western medicine has questioned the medical benefits of meditation.

Even though summer break is around the corner, some people still feel stressed about this school year and next school year. Here are four ways to relax your mind to get prepared for summer.

  1. Meditate: It can sound silly to some, but meditation is a great way to relax and relieve stress. Meditation helps to get your mind off school and get ready for summer. There are a bunch of apps that you can use to meditate. Some of these apps are Calm, Headspace, Unplug, Simple Habit, Buddhify, and so much more. So take some time this week or weekend to relax your mind.
  2. Read!: Reading can take you to a new world. Genres such as fantasy, short stories, and poetry can all be great for relaxation. Others, on the other hand, such as horrors and thrillers, aren’t the best for relaxation. There are many different books for different kinds of people. Relaxation through books can be different for different people, so look for books you would enjoy.
  3. Journal: Journaling is a great way to relax and destress. Writing down feelings and ideas is a good way to express your feelings. It can feel like you’re talking to someone and that helps to relax. So find a journal or a notebook and just write.
  4. Rest: Sometimes the best way to relax is just to rest. Resting can help to destress and feel refreshed. Taking a nice long nap can get you ready for the rest of the week. So take some time to just rest and reset.

Hopefully all of these tips will help you relax now and in the future. So have some time for you this summer.
