Getting Your Computer Ready For the Day

Sarah M., Staff Writer

In-person learning has started up again and that means that kids have to bring computers to schools. This is newer, so sometimes kids forget to charge their computers. This leads to kids needing to charge their computers during class. Here are a few tips on how to remember to charge your computer before school.

  1. Set an alarm on your phone or another device. Set an alarm on your phone before you go to bed so that you don’t forget. It’s a lot easier than just trying to remember on your own.
  2. Put a post-it note on something that you use or see a lot when at home. This small but constant reminder can help to keep the idea of charging your computer in your head. Don’t put it on things such as your phone or your computer because you’ll either be holding it or you may not see it. Put it on or near something that you use at night but not all the time. Examples of this would be on your hairbrush or near your toothbrush.
  3. You can also plug it in right when you get home. This makes sure that you don’t have to worry about plugging it in at night. It also gets rid of the worry about whether or not you have plugged it in. Even if you forget, you’ll notice because it will become a routine.

It is an easy thing to forget, but with the right routines and techniques it will become easier to remind yourself to keep your computer battery full.
